Présentation

The church became a parish church in the early 16th century, but existed long before that. The regular Romanesque pattern of yellow sandstone rubble at the base and white limestone above indicates reconstruction as early as the 11th century. Arcaded bell tower with 1837 bell.

Initially timber-framed, the building was vaulted in the 11th century, and was refurbished in the 18th century. The current entrance door, splayed windows and nave vault date from this period. The building took on its current appearance in the Second Empire, around 1870: 2 side chapels were added with their apsidioles. The arcaded bell tower, where you can see the old walled-in door and the threshold stone that was reached by a staircase, features a beautiful geminated window with a capital decorated with volutes. The plastered interior features a single nave and a choir bay resting on solid pilasters.
