Murets d'Art is an artistic, environmental and international trail between France (Saoû) and Spain (Sierra de Guara). The "Muret d'Art" trail is part of the "Serre Antoine" hiking circuit.
Its aim is to preserve and enhance the dry-stone wall heritage of the Franco-Spanish routes.
Itinerary description: In Mornans: parking lot at the bottom of the village, follow the Serre Antoine itinerary past the houses : la Cure, Tavau, the path continues below the house "le cagnard", continues to the pine wood where the low wall bearing the artists' works begins, and ends at the ruin of Bompard, where it becomes a path leading down to the Eyzarette stream (ford) and up the hillside towards Fonderesse, the Saoû forest via the Porte de Barry and the 3 Becs, Bourdeaux via the Rastel, the GR9 and the Chemin des Huguenots. From the Cure to Fonderesse, on either side of the combe, the remains of dwellings bear witness to the vitality of the countryside in days gone by. The villages of Saoû, Soyans, Mornans, Poët-Célard, Bourdeaux and Bezaudun all share the common feature of fortified heights: castles, keeps or watchtowers, all within sight of each other, as were the scattered farms of the Combe where the wall is located.
