The highest point of the MONTOISON commune is located on the "JUPE" hillside, at an altitude of 261 m. The view is 360°, and on a clear day, it's lost to distant horizons.
An ideal location for an orientation table.
At the top of the hill, right next to the mountainside, the orientation table sends us far beyond what we can see. Let's let our imaginations run wild if we can't pierce the cloud cover of the day. The light towards the Trois Becs and the Saoû forest is very beautiful, and in autumn the snow sparkles on Angèle's mountain, which can be seen in the distance over a pass. On the Vercors side, it's the Alps that catch our eye, and maybe we'll discover Mont Blanc! But it's the Montoisonnais countryside that awaits us. The hilly landscape, the farms, the more or less recent houses and, as a bonus, on certain days you'll be treated to the "Bise", that very local north wind.
