Divajeu goes from the foot of Roche Colombe in the South to the Drôme river. It is divided in 3 hamlets: the High Divajeu, the Porteronds and Lambres where are gathered the town hall, the school, the church and the inn, the only business of the village.
The commune of 550 inhabitants has a wealth of horse-riding, hiking and mountain-biking trails, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Ardèche plateau to the west and the Vercors peaks to the east.
Scattered settlements.
Agriculture, once an essential activity, is now down to a dozen or so farms specializing in livestock breeding and the production of garlic, corn and sunflower seeds.
The private 12th-century Château du Haut Divajeu was restored in the 1960s, and its imposing architecture is frequently illuminated.
A growing tourist industry includes gîtes, chambres d'hôtes and tables d'hôtes.
