Présentation

The commune of Livron is criss-crossed on both sides by a multitude of canals, testimony to a laborious past remarkable for its know-how and inventiveness. These canals are littered with paddlewheels used to power the millstones used to grind grain.

There are three main canals: the canal desgrands moulins, the canal des 14 pouces and the canal Bompart. To discover this heritage, a circuit is available from the Val de Drôme Tourist Office (Livron branch).
