A beautiful trail offering exceptional panoramic views over the Drôme valley and the Diois mountains. Start out on Rue du Raillet, which becomes a track winding through vineyards and undergrowth to reach the remains of Château de Barry.
Departure is via rue du Raillet (workshop of the "Petit Tourneur", a woodturning craftsman who makes original, authentic utilitarian objects from local woods).
It becomes a road and then a track, winding through the vineyards that produce the famous Clairette de Die. The route then climbs steeply up into the forest before reaching the ridge.
A little further on, take the downhill path (return journey 10 mins) to the ruins of Château de Barry, situated on a rocky promontory with a bird's-eye view over the valley.
Back at the crossroads, fork left to descend the combe over wide switchbacks. Staying on the main path, the road between the houses leads back to the parking lot.
