Our pearls The Tower of Crest
Like a vigilant watching the eastern entrance to the medium valley of the Drôme, perched on the southern slopes of the Monts du Matin, the majestic Tower of Crest overlooks the emerald waters of the river Drôme, the medieval town making the link between them both.
From the tallness of its 52 meters, which makes it the highest donjon in France, you can gaze at a breath- taking view, spreading from the Monts d’Ardèche ( Ardèche mounts) to the snow covered peaks of the Vercors.
After nearly nine hundred years of unwavering watch, its timeless shape and gold coloured walls still stand out against the deep blue of an already Mediterranean sky.
