Datebook Highlights Open Canoe

As the first European open canoe meeting, the Open Canoe festival takes place in April every year in the Drôme valley. The river Drôme and the little village Mirabel et Blacons then become the capital of canoeing for 3 days.

About 600 people coming from all over Europe participate in the paddling down the  river and attend technical and safety workshops animated by river guides of a prestige. They can also find and try material from exhibitors’ stands.

In the evening, they can gather under a complex of tepees covering a surface of 400 square meters in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere who has now achieved legendary status.

The Open Canoe event is a symbol of happiness, merry easy going, encounters, unforgettable paddling down upon the turquoise blue water of the river Drôme, between mountains and vineyards.
